Hello, this is Raju Gautam, a PHP/JavaScript Programmer, PHP/AJAX Developer, Perl Programmer, RoR Programmer. I have been working as a Web Programmer since 2005 as soon as I completed my graduation. Though I worked with different other script/programming languages i.e. Perl, RoR, ASP (traditional), Visual Basic 6 but I have to say that my specialization has been only in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript/Ajax Programmer in recent couple of years.
After completing schooling from a remote high school in Gulmi, I completed my intermediate from Butwal Multiple Campus, Butwal. After that I joined Bachelors of Computer Application (BCA) in a college in Kathmandu. I completed BCA in 2003 AD and started to look for a good job with no luck for 2 years (till 2004). I tried to work in several fields of computer like hardware, networking, maintenance, and also involved in teaching for sometime. But I could not be satisfied by any because I was interested in programming since the beginning of my computer life. So I worked in Visual Basic for sometime and then moved to its web version ASP. In 2005 I came to learn about PHP which was really getting its popularity among programmers. I found it easier to learn at first though I am still learning it after 6/7 years of working experience.
As already mentioned above it I worked with several computer languages during my professional career like Perl, RoR, Visual Basic 6, ASP, PHP. But these days I am running with PHP and its other sub fields like working with Opensource Frameworks/CMS. Secondly non other than MySQL database with PHP and off course JavaScript. Within these three, I have worked with Joomla, WordPress and recently started Magento as well in PHP. Also I have developed core PHP scripts, modules, libraries, and Web Services. In JavaScript, jQuery, Mootools, Prototype and extJs are my favorite frameworks.
